Sunday walk ....

First stop Holcombe Hill and the Peel monument -a memorial to Sir Robert Peel, founder of the British police force and Prime Minister (1834-35).  This is how policemen came to be known as Peelers or Bobbies.


We could see the wind farm at Owd Betts so we drove across the valley and I trekked across the moor to take some pics.


 Some people feel wind farms are a blot on the landscape but I think they're essential and really photogenic!

  1. I agree with you, I think the wind turbines are as cool looking as traditional windmills.
